As your Pre-Kindergarten student rises to Kindergarten, the choice is clear… Stay at Kids R Kids Pleasant Hill Academy!
Our Kindergarten program is enriched with a standards-based curriculum, wonderful learning stations, and an abundance of creative learning activities students will enjoy. It is based on national and state standards with weekly units comprised of academic lessons and literature-based activities. Our program's goal is to meet the needs of each student while implementing positive learning strategies.
Our Kindergarten curriculum was designed for continuous educational growth. Our Kindergarten program was designed with six academic categories: social studies, science, language and literacy, mathematics, character development, and creative expression. Independent and small group activities develop and reinforce student understanding of the subject material. These activities also build independent and cooperative learning skills. We also encourage the growth and development of each individual child through smaller class ratios and specalized programs for each child such as: A to Z Readers, Go Math, STEAM Ahead, and Handwriting Without Tears curriculums. Each child also gets to participate in specials throughout the week to develop the whole child. This includes physical education, music class, Chinese class, and art class with specialized teachers. We also assess children throughout the year and provide feedback for parents. We pride our Kindergarten program on providing a loving and educational environment to set a basis for a lifetime of growth!
